This elegant gunmetal brown two-light floor lamp features OMI’s renowned articulating joints and reflects the precision and quality of German manufacturing from the 1970s. Its minimalist silhouette combines a weighted round base, a slender central pole, and two independently adjustable cuboid spotlights with subtle warm interior accents, giving it a clean mid-century modern appeal.
OMI refers to Otto Meinzer GmbH & Co. Metallwarenfabrik, based in Iserlohn, Germany — a specialist manufacturer of high-quality chromed brass joints used extensively in the European lighting industry. Founded more than 50 years ago, OMI never produced complete lamps themselves; instead, their patented DBGM joint system was incorporated by notable lighting manufacturers such as Sölken-Leuchten, Hustadt-Leuchten, Massive (Belgium), Fase (Spain), and Ateljé Lyktan (Sweden). As a result, many vintage European lamps bear OMI-marked joints while the lamp bodies were produced by these partner firms.
This dual-spotlight floor lamp is a classic example of 1970s functional design. The brown powder-coated metal shades are mounted on OMI’s signature swivel joints, allowing each head to rotate and tilt freely. Whether used for reading, task lighting, or soft ambient illumination, the lamp offers versatile and precise light direction.
