Chambost

He is a truly prolific artist. Throughout his life, he has collaborated with great names, exploring shapes, colors, techniques and trends to design new and innovative pieces. Earthenware has enabled him to create daring yet traditional lines and a unique style. Pol Chambost was born in France in 1906. After studying at the Ecole des Arts Appliqués, he began his career following in his father's footsteps, becoming a funeral sculptor. A few years later, he discovered ceramics, which he first used in the family marble workshop and then to create his first pieces. He developed a passion for the art and opened his own workshop. Subsequently, he developed his art and techniques and mass-produced his creations. He met with great success, not only in France but also in the United States. He played a major role in the Chambre syndicale des céramistes d'art. He was also present at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and the Salon des Arts Ménagers.
