He qualified as an aeronautical engineer, but chose to make his passion his profession. In 1954, he opened his own ceramics workshop. That same year, he exhibited at the Salon des Céramistes et des Métiers d'Art and at the Maison de la Chimie. An artist deeply committed to defending his art, he became vice-president of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva.
