Authentic vintage hand-knotted wool rug featuring a bold tribal design with three stacked diamond medallions set against a deep indigo-blue field. The rug is framed by multiple decorative borders filled with small symbolic motifs, rendered in rich tones of madder red, navy, ivory, ochre, and burnt orange. The slightly irregular shape, natural color variations, and asymmetry in the borders are strong indicators of hand craftsmanship rather than machine production. The design language and color palette point toward tribal Persian or Afghan weaving traditions, often associated with Baluch- or South Persian–influenced rugs made for domestic use rather than export perfection. Woven entirely from wool, this rug has a dense yet flexible handle and a visually striking, graphic presence that works beautifully in both traditional and modern interiors.
