Pair of French rustic solid oak stools with hand-carved legs and black studded leather seats crafted in France circa 1940, in the style of farmhouse milking stools. They work as bedside tables, fireplace stools, plant stands, footrests, or decorative side table, being very sturdy in construction (can be sat/stepped on without issue).
Each stool features hand-cut joinery and hand-notched, sculpted legs, an artisan detail typical of French mountain and chalet furniture. The seat tops are finished with black leather upholstery (likely a more recent re-upholstery job), with patinated oak frames that feature three metal studs on each side.
