An elegant Georgian mahogany gate-leg drop-leaf table dating from the late 18th or early 19th century.
Constructed using traditional pegged joinery and a wooden rule-joint mechanism, the table retains many characteristics associated with Georgian craftsmanship. The beautifully aged mahogany has developed a warm colour and patina, while the slim pad-foot legs give the piece a refined and timeless appearance.
When folded, the table occupies minimal space, making it ideal for a hallway, sitting room, study, or occasional use. Fully opened, it provides a practical surface while retaining its elegant proportions.
Good antique condition with honest age-related wear, including an old historic repair to one leg joint. The table is structurally sound, opens and closes smoothly, and retains an attractive original patina.
