Original 1970s UNIVERSUM Wall Clock with Radio. Designed by Adriano Rampoldi for Quelle Mail Order (Germany). Made in Italy.
Includes the original German instruction manual and invoice. Purchased on May 18, 1974.
This clock-radio unit was distributed under various brand names.
This particular model was sold in Germany by the renowned mail-order company Quelle. It features a slightly modified design, distinguished by a silver aluminum dial bearing the UNIVERSUM brand name.
A unique feature of this model is its additional power input for the radio component. The power cord can be neatly stowed away inside the casing. Alternatively, the unit can be powered by two flat 4.5V batteries, or via the power cord (compatible with 220V mains voltage only).
The clock mechanism operates independently, powered by a single 1.5V battery.
Shows normal signs of use consistent with its age. All parts are present and intact. Includes the original power cord and plug.
The radio features both FM and AM functionality. All original control knobs function flawlessly.
The clock runs quietly and keeps accurate time.
