We are giving away one of our Tizio lamps as we have two. It is from around 2008 and in good condition.
The designer Richard Sapper wanted to develop a particularly practical lamp for the workplace. He was commissioned to do so by Ernesto Gismondi, one of the founding fathers of Artemide. None of the lighting concepts created to date offered the desired functionality. Today we would call this "usability". Richard Sapper's aim was therefore to design a luminaire with a movable arm that would not be mounted on a desk. At the same time, the direction of the light cone should be easy to change.
