Fashion designer and artist Reinder Schmidt made a number of works for the Textile Landscapes project made from leftover pieces of textile from sustainable Dutch clothing production. As a designer, he sees how much residual material remains from the fashion industry and tries to create an aesthetic image with this in various ways and at the same time draw attention to how we deal with our waste.
This work is 75x75 cm and made of different types of textiles. The pieces are sewn together and stretched onto a frame and painted.
The work is black with a glossy finish that reflects the light beautifully.
