Born in 1953 in Roosendaal.
In 1980, Ad van Hassel began painting.
Van Hassel was trained in the studio of Maarten Krabbé.
After years of pursuing various creative operations, he started two successful exclusive galleries in Amsterdam's Sonesta and Krasnapolsky hotels in 1983.
Ad van Hassel is best known for his tulip paintings.
Starting in 1990, Van Hassel began making his own screen prints. He achieved such a high quality that soon other artists had their work printed by Ad.
For example, he was Herman Brood's house printer for 12 years.
Corneille, Jan Cremer, Rob Scholte, Shunyam, Peter Diem and many other artists also made frequent use of his expertise.
