Beautiful and quite rare large modular vintage wall cabinet/bookcase from the Kemkes furniture factory in Waddinxveen, from the Formule series! You rarely, if ever, come across a Kemkes cabinet of this size :-) The cabinet consists of 6 parts: the 2 base cabinets with doors, then 2 tall bookcases on the left and right, and 2 separate top bookcases with the top 2 shelves. The cabinet has no less than 12 open shelves! So you can comfortably display all your favorite styling items, with items you prefer to keep out of sight in the bottom section. The entire piece is finished in medium oak veneer with the well-known subtle gold trim. The 4 doors have brass handles; these are original. Behind the doors, there is a shelf on both sides, and the cabinets stand on a slightly recessed straight plinth. The original brass connecting screws (these are often missing) are also still present; see photo. The cabinet is marked. We have thoroughly inspected the cabinet and, of course, cleaned it. Where it stood, it had not been moved for approximately 50 years. It is therefore still in beautiful condition. The whole piece is beautifully and solidly constructed of heavy quality and truly exudes craftsmanship. It shows normal signs of use here and there, but nothing shocking. A beauty for the lover of vintage design furniture from a Dutch furniture factory! The modular system is also handy; you can also place the cabinets separately from each other. Dimensions: W176 x D46/31.5 x H252 cm. Measured in total. The height of the lower cabinets is 75 cm.
