Curious vase with ethnic decorative motifs, made by the Catalan ceramist Jordi Serra Moragas in the 1970s. Vase with a wide body and narrow neck made of ceramic patented by the artist. On a white base he applies gradations of earth colors, yellows and blacks, and removing part of this paint creates a serial geometric drawing.

Jordi Serra Moragas, representative of the third generation of the Serra family line, is a multifaceted creator with training in ceramics, painting, drawing and chemical engineering. He stands out for his technical mastery in firing pigments at high temperatures, achieving impressive effects in metallic reflections. His work pushes the concept of art ceramics, incorporating new motifs and contemporary effects. In addition to his skill as a ceramist, his pictorial and drawing expression focuses on sensual and spontaneous lines, reminiscent of Picasso and Matisse. Ceramics, for him, is the material that gives life and substance to these lines, being a mirror of artistic evocations both in the past and in the present.
