Solid crystal centerpiece, a beautiful example of French glass art from the Mid-Century Modern period. Made by the renowned French crystal factory Art Vannes France (Vannes-le-Châtel) and designed in the iconic style of top designer Pierre d'Avesn.
With its impressive length of no less than 66cm, this is an absolute eye-catcher on a sideboard, dining table, or coffee table. The undulating lines catch and reflect the light in a magical way, ensuring the object continues to fascinate from every angle. This model dates from the factory's 'golden design period', between 1950 and 1970. After this, it was absorbed into the prestigious Daum group.
The bowl is in very good condition, with minimal signs of use (only very light scratches on the underside of the base - see photo). The object is signed on the underside of the base and is made of heavy, high-quality solid crystal (lead crystal).
Dimensions: 66cm X 14cm X 9cm. The centerpiece can be picked up in the center of Rotterdam.
