Gerard Glastra (1957) is an autodidact who, after years of lessons with Adriana Mast in Ruinen and many exhibitions in Ruinen and Beilen, will offer paintings himself. The style is realistic and the paintings have a message that often radiates social involvement. This painting (including frame) is intended to show a bit of humor and the simplicity of a solution to water pollution. With a nod to Marius van Dokkum, the man is placed in a landscape where it is time for a tobacco after work. The heavy rain has flooded the country and the satisfaction of solving this problem is shown. A satisfied reward for work done. No bonuses or scorecards, just a cigarette. What is more satisfying? The full proceeds (excluding shipping costs) will be donated to a good cause. This year it is 2Handson. A group of people from Zwolle with a warm heart for people who desperately need support.
As good as new with no signs of wear
