A handcrafted small-scale cabinetry piece constructed from solid pine, dating to the 1940s. The structure is defined by its raw, honest construction, featuring butt joints secured with prominent, exposed wrought iron nails that articulate the drawer fronts and side panels.
The unit follows a strictly utilitarian vertical format, housing four symmetrical drawers, each fitted with its original turned wooden knob in a contrasting dark finish. The wood surface presents a natural finish, revealing the grain, knots, and organic irregularities, creating a tactile wabi-sabi texture. The chest rests on a simple stepped plinth base.
