No. 286 from a limited edition of 300 Year: 1990 In absolute mint condition. Never been framed. Always kept in original hard cardboard packaging in foil Rik van IERSEL (Maastricht, 1961). Van Iersel is very curious about materials, about media and about life itself. As an eighteen-year-old he designs posters for pop concerts of the Effenaar. He draws comics, plays drums in Der Junge Hund and makes his first large colorful expressionist paintings, which immediately lead to a solo exhibition at Galerie Willy Schoots. In the years that follow, Rik van Iersel exhibits in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, New York and San Francisco.
