Product description
Wireless vase lamp – suitable for balconies, patios, or living spaces – crafted from a rare ceramic vase by Bay Keramik.
The vase was designed by Bodo Mans, one of the most influential designers of West German Pottery in the 1960s and 70s. The series itself was very popular and produced in various sizes and glaze variations.
However, the small vase shape used here is considerably rarer. The turquoise-silver glaze is also particularly exceptional, appearing only rarely in this series. This gives the vase a correspondingly high collector's value.
The relief decoration features typical design elements of Bodo Mans: geometric ornaments, floral medallions, and textured triangular patterns that stand out plastically from the surface. The glaze further emphasizes this texture, lending the vase a serene, sculptural quality.

Careful Conversion to a Lamp
The vase has been carefully converted into a lamp using a securely anchored, yet reversible, plug-in solution. The lamp base is weighted for stability. The vase opening is sealed with a high-quality brass cap.

Technology – Wireless & Flexible:
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control, and several light colors are available.
Thanks to its wireless operation, the lamp is ideal for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens.
The Lampshade
The lampshade is covered with a fabric from Westfalenstoffe. This is a very fine cotton fabric with a subtle graphic pattern. The fabric's fine texture ensures a particularly pleasant light diffusion and a calm, elegant lighting effect.
This lamp combines a rare West German Pottery vase with a handcrafted lampshade and modern cordless technology.
