Peter Pontiac - John Lennon. Lithograph numbered 47 of 100 and signed. Dimensions 42 x 30 cm. Work is in very good condition. Peter Pontiac, real name Petrus Jozef Gerardus Polman, was a Dutch illustrator and cartoonist. Didn't even stay at the Free Academy for a year. Peter Pontiac was self-taught and started working in the late 1960s for national and international music & other magazines. He drew underground comics, posters and record covers. Pontiac was now involved in the Dutch Punk culture. He has received various prizes at home and abroad, including the Comic Strip Prize, the Professor Pi Prize and the Maarten Toonder Prize for his entire oeuvre. Born April 28, 1951 in Beverwijk and died January 20, 2015 in Amsterdam. Peter Pontiac exhibited in Utrecht, Amsterdam, Spain, and America. Peter had an American publisher.
