An exceptional Art Deco lighting set in wrought iron and hammered brass, authenticated and signed by Max Le Verrier.
This rare, complete, and remarkably cohesive set includes a large, eight-light medieval/Art Deco style chandelier and a pair of matching two-light wall sconces. Each piece bears the characteristic "MAX" signature and the period marking "BREV." (for Modèle Breveté, meaning Patented Model) stamped directly into the wrought iron, guaranteeing the origin and authenticity of the work from the renowned Parisian art foundry.
The superb patinated wrought ironwork, combined with the raw brass shades featuring a powerfully hammered texture, offers a presence that is at once raw, elegant, and timeless, typical of the artist's high-quality productions of the 1930s and 1940s.
