Marie-Jeanne van de Velde (MJ), 15.10.1957 is a contemporary Flemish artist from Ronse, Belgium. Arts and Crafts by MJ. instagram/bymjmad. Born with an artistic eye, and a passion for painting, sculpting and decoration. She attended art school in Ghent (Belgium). The work can be abstract or figurative. The matter can acquire an aesthetic or symbolic meaning within the context of the whole work, it can retain something of its original identity. Her career started as a professional painter in 1988 and in the meantime she also became a gifted ceramist who is always experimenting with new materials and techniques. Her works are also exhibited at home and abroad and her own gallery in Ronse (B). Each work is authentic and hand signed. Directly from their studio, the works are carefully packaged and shipped insured with DPD.
