He attracted attention with his colorful (sunny appearance), expressive and figurative painting. He soon became a much sought-after exhibitor at home and abroad. His themes are broad and often stem from everyday life. Houses, portraits, still lifes are always put on the canvas in his authentic, passionate way. The emotion that expresses his work leaves no one untouched. This is therefore the essence of Jan-Peter's work. He has chosen the brush and paint to express the passion and feelings he has for life. Jan-Peter's work has been frequently seen in Dutch galleries in recent years. Besides great domestic fame, the same can certainly be said about foreign countries. His work has been displayed in galleries in Cologne, Wurzburg, Hamburg, Gstaad, but also in Singapore, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In 1999 he still exhibited in the "Grand d'Arche" in Paris and in the casino of the small, tax-efficiently so favorable Monaco.
