Windmaster is a wrought iron figure adorned with weld bubbles and was created between fire, hammer and anvil. The lasbagette gave the figure even more shape.
The sculpture was given a coating
The materials and technique used by the artist are completely absorbed in the result. The focus is mainly on the interplay between the two objects that are connected and the story that emerges from it.
All sculptures have a high cuddly factor, but are so layered that the viewer almost immediately starts looking for the message and the relationship the viewer has with it...
Unique signed work from 2019
JLB studied music at the conservatory of Ghent, after which he developed a career as a horn player, conductor, composer and teacher.
At the same time, as an autodidact, his interest went to artisanal forging, first to restore or manufacture all kinds of ironwork in the old way. Afterwards he discovered the possibilities of creating sculptures.
After a meeting and a short internship with Martin Granel, he discovered the combination of glass with iron.
JLB regularly exhibits in the Garemynzaal in Bruges. His work was also shown in the Vlask gallery in Ghent.
