Jan Praet Bronze artwork 2 parts

2 bronze statues together form one work of art by Jan Praet. A well-known Belgian artist born in 1955, with a long list of exhibitions in different Art Galleries in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Was a teacher at various art schools in Belgium for 20 years. Lives in Panzano in Chianti (Firenze) since 2001 where he works and exhibits in his Art Studio/Art Gallery. He depicts mythological and human figures, with a special interest in human movement. On the Entrance Square of the “De Leeuwenborgh” institute in Wageningen, there is a 2.5 meter high bronze statue of his hand. There is also a statue of him in Maaseik (B). I bought this artwork at the Keeerder Kunstkamer in Cadier en Keer in Limburg 1998. The pair weigh 7.5 kg, are 38 cm high and 11 cm wide (shoulders). The sculpture is signed “Jan Praet 33/50”. The image is undamaged.
