This is a hand-painted ceramic jug from the Algarve, Portugal, by Olaria d'Almancil
Handwritten mark "Olaria d'Almancil" Lena + no. 257 on the bottom. In very good condition, no "chips" (flakes on the rim) or crazing in the glaze, vintage 1980s, no signs of wear consistent with age. Height 20 cm, diameter of the body approx. 14 cm and handle 5 cm wide. Unique piece!
