Description

Artwork by Michiel van der Born. "The rare Gamma nitida The Gamma nitida is a very rare, mysterious creature and hardly ever occurs in the wild. I once found this one at night in the Oosterpark and took it home. It has been in my house for years as a kind of pet. apartment but because it was so special I kept it quiet. It recently passed away and then I set it up. It is very beautiful, very graceful." Michiel van der Born is a lettering artist and a tattooer working and living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands . Michiel graduated “cum laude” from the Royal Collage of Art with a degree in Graphic and Typographic design. Here he learned to draw type, building fonts, writing with a brush/pointed pen, etc. Directly after his study at the Royal collage of Art he was spending his time developing his painting skills, something he didn't learn at art school.
