This very fine version has a woolen upholstery, leather armrests and a star-shaped aluminum base with a well-functioning turning mechanism.
The F154 is characterized by its timeless design and very comfortable seat.
Chair has signs of wear (stains and discolouration) but is an absolute eye-catcher in your vintage or modern interior.
Geoffrey David Harcourt (1935) was chief designer for furniture manufacturer Artifort. Harcourt was educated at The Royal College of Art in London, graduating in 1960. For two years he worked as an industrial designer in the United States. After this he returned to Europe and worked with Jacob Jensen in Copenhagen. His first design for Artifort in 1962 was a series of small office armchairs. His second series, series 042, became a great international success the following year. Harcourt's design philosophy is 'first the person, then the chair', striving for a design with a perfect balance between comfort and beauty.
