This antique adjustable smoking chair was in terrible condition regarding the wood when we found it :-( So this beautifully crafted and extremely sturdy chair could really use a makeover. After several cleaning and sanding sessions, we painted the oak base in a warm olive green. Furthermore, the chair has been re-glued in places. The black corduroy upholstery was already on it and was replaced by the previous owner about 2 years ago. It features super suspension etc. and is very sturdy. We cleaned the black fabric twice with a steam cleaner; it looks quite nice again. There are still some stains, but they are on the undersides that are not visible. The chair is adjustable via a kind of lever on the backrest; see the last photo. It has various positions.
A super charming chair that certainly deserves a new home!
