Vintage 1970s space age minimalist designed floor lamp in the shape of a globe. The large sphere is loose in the metal stand, the tube is bent in two identical circles, the top one carries the lamp, the other circle forms the foot. The optical floating effect and the diffused light of the white sphere make this lamp a unique work of art in your room. There are no markings on this lamp, but this design is often attributed to the Dutch designer Aldo van den Nieuwelaar. This model has been attributed to Hala Zeist, given the striking 8-angled foot switch that Hala uses with this type of lamp. All in all a beautiful example of Dutch Design whose influences can still be found in contemporary designs. Considering its age it is in good used vintage condition, some small spots on the foot, the glass has a small imperfection from the manufacturing process, but otherwise the sphere is still very neat. Original wiring and foot switch, including mounted light source. Materials glass and metal, color white, dimensions; height 90cm with a diameter of 45cm.
In very good condition with minimal traces of use
