These pearls have been in a notary's office in Bruges for the past 3 decades. Little used but very well cared for, these armchairs give the impression that they have been taken out of a time capsule. Designed by Anita Schmidt for Durlet, it is clear that the Art Deco movement has strongly inspired her. From every angle; front, side and rear they are simply stunning down to the smallest detail. The whole forms a vision of understated beauty and solidity. These are made of deep dark grey/green leather finished with high-gloss black wood (reminiscent of bakelite) on the front and back. The suspension of both the seats and backrest has remained as tight as the first day. Almost needless to say that they are exceptionally fantastic, they are Durlets. €450 per armchair
