If you think these Alessandra armchairs are quintessentially 80s, think again: incredible as it may seem, Gianni Moscatelli designed these beauties in 1969 for the Italian furniture brand Formanova. The choice of materials was certainly futuristic at the time, as the angled legs are made of stainless steel and the shell is completely covered in black leather, in a style that would not be adopted until almost ten years later, in the mid to late 1970s.
These two chairs have been preserved for over fifty years and are still extremely contemporary today and will look great in any vintage inspired living room. They are comfortable, wide and can be arranged individually or together as a single sofa.
The structure of both chairs has been preserved in original, pristine condition (still bearing the Formanova label), while the cushions have been recently redone in blue velvet. The legs have been preserved "as is" with oxidation due to time, as some collectors prefer their pieces to be as original as possible.
The price is for both armchairs.
